This self erecting tower crane, a San Marco SMH 351, is working on a project in Morgantown West Virginia.  We set this crane up last weekend.  The student housing project on the West Virginia University campus is a multi-story stick frame wood building.  This type of project is perfect for our self erecting cranes.  Jobsites located in urban areas with limited space like this one render a Mobile and RT Cranes impractical for both cost and space reasons.  Until now contractors had to rely on labor to carry material from the edge of the building to the area where it was needed.

Our self erectors eliminate this extra labor as well as add the following benifits:

1) Huge savings on labor costs by eliminating all the carrying material by hand.

2) Speeds up construction which also reduces overall costs.

3) Eliminates the risk of jobsite injuries to workers such as back injuries
